Privacy policy

What happens to the information you send this firm through this website.

Who this policy applies to

This policy explains how Agivaeva Law Professional Corporation ("the firm", "we") handles personal information collected through this website. It is written to reflect the firm's obligations under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the confidentiality duties owed by Ontario lawyers under the Law Society of Ontario's Rules of Professional Conduct.

Information you provide to the firm in the course of a retainer is governed by solicitor-client privilege and the firm's professional obligations, which are broader than this website policy.

Information we collect

This website does not require you to create an account, and it does not sell information to anyone. We collect personal information only when you choose to send it to us:

  • Details you enter in the consultation form — your name, email address, telephone number, the general type of matter, and the short description you write.
  • The content of any email or voicemail you send to the firm using the contact details published on this site.
  • Standard technical information recorded by our hosting provider when a page is requested, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages visited.

How we use it

Information you send through this website is used to respond to your inquiry, to determine whether the firm is able to act for you, and to run the conflict-of-interest check that Ontario lawyers are required to complete before accepting a matter.

We do not use website inquiries for unrelated marketing, and we do not add inquiry email addresses to a mailing list.

The consultation form

The consultation form on this website composes an email in your own email program and sends it directly to the firm. Please keep the description brief and general.

Do not send confidential, privileged, or time-sensitive information through this website. Email is not a secure channel, and no solicitor-client relationship exists until the firm has completed its conflict check and both you and the firm have signed a written retainer agreement.

Disclosure

The firm does not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Information is disclosed only with your consent, to those assisting the firm in delivering legal services to you, or where disclosure is required or permitted by law or by the Law Society of Ontario.

Retention and safeguards

The firm keeps client and inquiry records for the period required by professional obligations and applicable law, and applies physical, organizational, and technological safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising cookies and does not run third-party advertising trackers. If the firm later adds website analytics, this section will be updated to name the tool, describe what it measures, and explain how to opt out.

Access, correction, and questions

You may ask what personal information the firm holds about you, ask that it be corrected, or withdraw consent to its use, subject to legal and professional limits. Please call 905-801-8777 or send correspondence to 400 Applewood Crescent, Suite 100, Vaughan, Ontario, L4K 0C3.

This policy describes the firm’s current website practices and should be reviewed and confirmed by the firm before launch, and again whenever the firm changes how inquiries are received or adds analytics.
