Ilona AgivaevaFounder · Barrister & Solicitor
Agivaeva Law was borne from a passion for delivering client-centered service with the pace of a large firm and the attention of a boutique practice. Ilona is devoted to practicing law the way she believes it should be practiced: through zealous advocacy and a results-driven approach.
Ilona's prior experiences have informed the standard of work at Agivaeva Law — one lawyer, one file, one direct line, without layers of intake, files passing between hands, or long silences between updates. Clients reach her — not a queue — and hear the same candid assessment on day one that they will hear at resolution.
Clients come here at consequential moments — after an injury, at the closing of a first home, in the middle of a dispute that has become impossible to ignore. Each matter receives candid advice, a considered strategy, and a lawyer who answers.
Ilona's work spans serious injury claims, real estate closings all across Ontario, and civil disputes, with a preference for early clarity over prolonged conflict and a willingness to litigate when clarity and compromise are refused.

Common Questions
Answers before you call.
If your question isn't here, a short call is usually enough to point you in the right direction — with no obligation either way.
Call the office · 905-801-8777Will I speak with Ilona directly?
Yes. The practice is deliberately small so that the lawyer assessing your matter is the one carrying it through.
What happens at a first consultation?
It is a confidential conversation about what has happened, what deadlines may apply, and what your options are. Any consultation fee is confirmed when you contact the office, before anything is booked, and speaking with the firm does not commit you to retaining it.
How quickly will I hear back?
Inquiries are reviewed by Ilona personally and answered promptly. Existing clients receive updates at each meaningful stage of their matter rather than having to ask for them.
How are fees discussed?
Openly and before work begins. The fee arrangement that applies to your matter is explained when the firm reviews it, and the scope and basis of the fee are confirmed in writing before any work starts.
What should I bring to the first conversation?
Whatever you already have: an accident or police report, insurer correspondence, an agreement of purchase and sale, a contract, or an email chain. Nothing is required to book the call — bring what is at hand and we will work from there.
Do you serve clients outside Toronto?
Yes. The firm is based in Vaughan but serves clients throughout Toronto and the GTA, with virtual signing options available for clients anywhere in Ontario.
